Most environmentalists truly believe what they are saying, unfortunately they really haven't been able to come up with facts that will 100% back what they are saying. They earth has gone through stages of change since well before mankind showed up and will continue to do so well after we are gone. Those who believe they have the solution to the problem, more often then not, are the problem.
Everyone wants to reduce the "carbon footprint" by reducing or controlling emissions. No one has considered the fact that additional development of communities with the impact of destroying hundreds of trees also has an effect on the carbon in the air. After all, trees take in more carbon dioxide and produce more oxygen through photosynthesis. Why isn' this country considering restricting further development to keep the carbon levels low? Yes, people need to have places to live. It is the American dream to own a home. There is a cost to this no less than burning coal for electricity.
I am all for protecting the environment, but not at expense of taking away jobs and certainly not at the expense of those who cannot even pay their power bills now. I am sick and tired of the EPA running amuck without any oversite. Do not get me wrong they are needed because of the greedy companies who will do anything to raise their profits even at the expense of other human beings, but they have gone to far.
Sounds a lot like a "brown shirt", shadow government. Work on children who don't really have a grasp on the environmental issues, brainwashing at its best.
Thats exactly what we have in the EPA 'The Brown Shirts" just like during the 1930's in Germany. Thats where they got their instructions from, that and the socialists in the government.
