The electric car phenomena that had dominated the 2000s is now over, analysts are saying.
The U.S., specifically the Department of Energy, has backed off its plans to put 1 million electric cars on American roads by the year 2015. The demand of electric cars has lessened ever since the most recent recession hit the U.S. and looks to decrease as families continue to save and spend less.
