Canadian oil may end up in Communist China rather than the U.S. -- thanks to environmentalists.
Rich Trzupek, writing in FrontPage Magazine today warns that environmentalists in Canada and in the U.S. are driving Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper to consider dropping the Keystone XL pipeline in favor of one that ultimately sends oil to Communist China.
Trzupek writes:
As Harper is aware, the United States is as litigious a society as there is on earth and – thanks to the many misguided decisions made in the pursuit of environmental purity by both parties – the massive statutory and regulatory infrastructures that have been constructed in the name of protecting mother earth practically guarantee that environmental groups could tie up an approval of Keystone XL in the courts for years. It would be silly to put all one’s eggs in one basket in any case, but given the dysfunctional manner with which America addresses environmental issues and energy issues, Harper would be worse than foolish to assume that Canada’s best energy customer will continue to be so.
Harper is considering building the Northern Gateway pipeline, which will send crude oil from Alberta to Kitmat, British Columbia for shipment by tanker to Communist China. This pipeline will face environmentalist wrath as well.

That the Harper government is savvy enough to pursue a second pipeline option is testament to its wisdom, but the fact that it also called out (finally!) the environmental movement for its unrestrained, unscientific extremism speaks volumes about its courage.
He concludes: “For not only are China and India showing more leadership than Obama’s America, it seems that even Canada is too.”

Also, how much am I and my children and grandchildren on the hook for to cover your risky bets on Solyndra, Nevada GeoThermal, Beacon Power, First Solar, Evergreen Solar, Spectra Watt, etc., etc.? Not to mention the Chevy Volt (which no one wants to buy) and its fire hazard battery. Why do you want to destroy America? Americans, think before you vote in November.

One would think that even Obama would respect a 'good neighbor' policy with regards to the mutual benefit to both Canada and U.S. But No such luck from this blind, deaf, stiffnecked, conceited hoarder of power for control — at the expense of our Nation. Obama is a champion of STAGNANT, REJECTION OF our American assets which would create jobs in multiple industries and related businesses which supply the asset's production and distribution. Obama is anti-law and anti-America; while very much for Soros-UN open-society with borderless nations and jurisprudence.
