Pipelines like this bring oil to America to fuel our economy.
House Republicans voted on February 7, to strip Obama of power over the Keystone XL pipeline. They gave the authority to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Obama seems to be willing to ignore Congress when it suits him. Perhaps it’s time for Congress to ignore Obama as well in order to get things done for our energy security.
The Energy and Commerce Committee voted 33-20 to require FERC to approve the $7 billion project within 30 days, provided the project is deemed safe. The legislation is H.R. 3548.
As Bloomberg reports: “The president left us no choice” because the review of pushes a final decision until after the presidential election, Representative Lee Terry, a Nebraska Republican and the bill’s sponsor, said at today’s meeting. Pipeline backers, including labor unions, have said the project may create as many as 20,000 jobs.”
Obama, of course, is doing everything he can to destroy the oil, gas, and coal industries in America in order to force Americans to use alternative “green” energy sources.

You are so right about the never do's in congress. While robbing the kenyon crook of his ilegal and self appointed powers they should go ahead and strip his half and half ass and ride him out on a rail.
Racial attacks hurt what we are trying to do and gives the Democrats something to talk about other than the facts and that takes away from booting him out of office. Please stick to facts so more people listen and some in the middle will see what we are saying are true.
Boehner never should have been voted speaker of the house to begin with but it is safe to say that congress is like a big old union; keep getting elected and you eventually get senority and if you get the top job (speaker of the house or president of the Senate) then all the others have to kiss your a$$ to get their committee chairmanships. Boehner said getting to be speaker of the house was his life's dream but his tenure has been a nightmare for the citizens of this country. Unless you are one of the 47% who pay no taxes.

I'm on the border line a fiscal conservative, with a well developed common sense, enough that is, to know that there are sincere folks out there who really need help, that are too, also ashamed of asking for it, it's these very same people that I am more than welcomed to give them the shirt off my back to helping them. Then there are those who with help from within the system, that will suck, and are sucking the life out of a system that was set in place for all the wrong reasons? I love the conservative party, and are pretty proud of those within, that without fan fare, want the best for their brothers and sisters "fellow Americans" and our environment who silently are making big changes in the world around us, and I cannot stand the loud obnoxiousness of the so called Liberal champions and conservative elitist who say they are the true saviors of man kind from themselves, and who are the custodians of trickery and lies? Boehner's betrayal to us infuriates me to no end, and as you said, his and the other elites are killing us, we have got to get people like him out of government before they completely enslave us all. It is about time someone pulls J.E.R.K.off Obama's chain. I don't know if it is Boehner's doing or not but this would finally thtow the Constitution in J.E.R.K.'s face.
This little push by the weak kneed congress will most likely fade like every other weak attempt to control the dictator-want-be. The elite self serving hangers on in Washington have already shown that have no guts for going against the kenyon regime. This sudden and weak attempt at controling the marxist muslim will peter out just like all the rest.
Congress and the Supreme Court have failed to question the legitimacy of this President and his policies but the individual States are at an increasing rate. It has been the individual States who are slowly but surely taking out the Health Care Bill and six states are questioning the eligibility of Obama for reelection. At some point, this may be the only thing that will bring the question of his eligibility to both Congress and the Supreme Court. There is little doubt there are several reasons why it should be questioned.
The main problem with the president's grand scheme to force "green" energy on us is that there is no viable green energy alternative. Boy blunder and his minions continually talk about wind and solar only. Neither one of those are worth their weight in pig slop. They are unreliable, inefficient, costly and require high maintenance. They require vast amounts of terra firma which could be put to much better use. There will be viable alternatives to fossil fuels but they aren't here yet. In the meantime, we have substantial resources of oil, gas and coal which we can safely and cleanly use.
As Obama runs roughshod over the Constitution on his merry way to becoming America's first "Dictator for Life" (and don't doubt for a second that this is not his aim) it's good to see a little (though not enough) push back against this tyrant in the making from the House. The Senate and Comrade Reid will squash any measure challenging the fuerher so this will go nowhere. Gotta get the creeps out of the House, Senate and White House next November …or else.
First of all, Obama is a dictator[not a wanna be] as one guest commenter stated. He bypasses congress all the time. Makes up his own rules and does whatever he wants no matter what the people say. I notice a lot of commentators in the media both conservitive and liberal saying "Obama is a nice guy, but he just isn't a leader." Well, he's certainly not a leader, and he definitely is not a nice guy. He has an agenda and that is to turn this country into a Marxist society. "The end justifies the means." No, he's not a nice guy. To me he's evil and must be stopped. I just hope that the majority of citizens wake up and see who this man really is and vote him out of office. If he wins, in November, this country will be a country of chaos and we'll be in the streets like Greece.
We need to take Obama, Boehner,Reid,Pelosi and the rest of these goons and take them out of the picture one way or the other NOW. If we do this, the country will be back to near normalcy by November. The problem is that we know these people in power are the scum of the earth but we do nothing about it except wish. Kennedy and Lincoln were obstructing to a much lesser degree and look what happened to them. I believe that all the people in this country are female cause they "got no balls".I've outlived my whole family by a large margin so I don't have long to go but most all of you people have a life to live.
