Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring at 50 Years

“It’s not polite to talk about brown and black people dying because rich white people in America feel better about themselves when the brown and black people don’t get to use DDT,” says the University of Alabama’s Andrew Morriss, co-editor of the new book Silent Spring at 50: The False Crises of Rachel Carson.

“It’s not polite to talk about brown and black people dying because rich white Democrats in America feel better about themselves when the brown and black people don’t get to use DDT,” now it is accurate!

This one biased decision has caused more deaths than any other stupid decision in our history. DDT is deadly, to bugs. Prescription drugs cause thousands more harm & death than DDT ever did. Malaria & other mosquito born diseases have killed millions in third world countries, & now it is coming to the US. How many millions have to die before the dummies wake up & take this seriously. Which is more important, people or birds (I don't believe DDT caused bird deaths), to the dumb environmentalists, animals are more important than people.

  3. It took another 8 years before Nixon signed the National Environmental Policy Act which resulted in our modern day EPA. Like usual a republican program has been grasped by the liberal democrats to increase their power over the people. Of course republicans have been too scared to put the brakes on what is happening in this country. Yeah, the out of control environmental movement can be traced back to the big lie propogated by Silent Spring.

  4. note how "silent spring" appeared about the same time that evedence for smoking causing lung cancer was vastly accelerating in credence. could the cigarette mfgrs have subsidized her for her "smoke screen"?
try looking up some of the "scientific" references in the back of her book & learnwhat bad statistics, just plain fairy-tale telling really can be- just because unrelated citations are piled up doesn't prove anything-many a high school/college paper have been padded by such irrelevant rubbish since the dawn of education
